it does appear that he/she is pushing finquiz to me as well. Not making a stmt. that your are mitchells just stating that the behaviour is a little suspect, which you can search my own comments and see that I have said this before.
That being said, there was a request for reviews from different sources: I went ahead and purchased it toward the end of October to review more accounting questions with. I had already completed and reviewed the EOCs out of the official cfai curriculum enough times that I felt like I was regurgitating memorized info. So I'm just using finquiz as an additional source of questions to test and refresh concepts as I move through the rest of the curriculum.
They do offer item sets, and the format of the question did feel a little more cfa'ish, if you will, than schwez did to me, which I think is certainly a plus. Of course this is probably largely a matter of personal opinion. I did find some minutae getting tested on through the accounting question bank in addition to broad concepts, which I think is good as well. I've only used the accounting material so far, and overall I would rate it as a good, albeit stream lined product.
There are a few grammatical issues here and there, it's written by non-native english speakers I assume, but all of questions and concerns have been addressed quickly and politely (something I have noticed schwez slacking on last year when I used them) by their support staff.
As a tool in the preparation tool kit I think it is helpful for review and refresh purposes, none the less I intend on primarily depending on cfai not a second derivative there of. Hope this was helpful to others.
