Who is happy with the amount of the curriculum that they've learned?

I think we can all admit at this point that no one here is 100% confident of passing. All of my sample and mock exams have gone well, but a bit of doubt still lingers, and it will never go away. However, one comforting thought has occurred to me today- regardless of whether I pass on Saturday, I am satisfied with the knowledge that I have gained from the CFA level 1 curriculum. There are a few things I don't really get (like bayes theorem for example), and other things I'll get wrong in a test atmosphere, but if I had to explain the gist of the textbooks to someone else, I'm confident that I could do it.

While this would be poor consolation if I were to receive a failing grade, in a pre-exam atmosphere, it is actually rather calming.

Anyone else feel this way?

Hear hear. Absoluetely agreed!

I think even those of us taking it later in the year feel the same. That knowledge base is both so applicable and quite a bit more interesting than work or other tests (~CPA, etc). Even failure is just another chance to succeed later.

In any case, all the best to you regardless of whatever else!

yeah, i feel the same sbmarti. while i am cautiously optimistic of my chances the amount of knowledge in regards to finance gained over the past 3.5 months has been amazing.
upon receiving the text books it seemed as if there was an insurmountable amount of information to comprehend. however, with studying hours everyday pieces started to come together. definitely still have areas that i'm not completely confident, but the fact that i can explain to someone exactly how ROE is calculated is kind of cool, relative sense
hope other people have had a positive experience as well. whatever happens saturday does not take anything away from what you've worked on past months. sure you will forget a lot of this stuff for the time being, but certain concepts will always be there. need to finish packing and drive down towards NYC tnite. get some rest!

Everything about this experience, beginning with setting the goal to actually take it, has left an impact on me.

I am very happy about having made the choice and happy with what I've done in preparation so far. The outcome will reveal itself when results are posted, but I already know the positive impact that this has had for me. A few years ago I would have never dreamed that I would be taking this exam in a day from now.

Another wise choice - joining the AF universe! You all represent THE BEST! Thank-you.

128,600 individuals from 154 countries - that's really something.
