Graduate recruitment 2009 Our graduate recruitment activities are again in full swing!
We recently hosted our Summer Leadership rogram across Greater China. This annual event is now in its second year and it has been critical in enhancing our graduate recruitment efforts and helping Ernst & Young to secure the best talent in the market. This year, nine events were held across Greater China with more than 1,200 selected accounting major students from our priority universities joining the programs.
Over 150 EY partners and executives participated and helped run the event and assess the students. Employment offers will be made to short-listed students when they return to university in September.
Excitingly, 25 final year accounting major students who accepted offers to join us following our 2007 Summer Leadership rogram have been invited to join this year's EY International Intern Leadership Conference in Orlando, USA. This conference is designed to enable selected EY graduates from across the globe to network with their EY colleagues. The opportunity to attend was offered to those graduates, our EY Ambassadors, who referred the most fellow classmates to EY.
We also recently launched our EY Scholarship rogram for Excellence in Accounting Studies. The program is open to all second year accounting major students from our priority universities. Scholarship winners are identified through an interview with a senior partner panel. In addition to receiving a cash prize, the winners from this year will be invited to join the EY International Intern Leadership Conference in the year of their graduation.
