Bonnie Dubois- after tax vs before tax

return, recent, anything, before
Please refer to Schweser Book 1 P211.

Dubois needs $90000 AFTER taxes have been deducted. Why then is 4.5% the before tax return?

Im sure this has been answered before, but I searched and cant find anything recent.

The text states that 90,000 (60,000+30,000) is before tax
