Fello repeaters: Can GIPS be prepared for exam using schwese

prepared, 2011
I haven’t bought this year’s schweser notes. Have mainly relied on CFA books. but GIPS is wayy too long!
Can anyone clarify if GIPS stayed the same from 2010 to 2011 so that one can prepare from old notes?

GIPS has significantly changed this year. Better use CFA Books.

What is the deal with GIPS anyway…
Why is everyone like OMG OMG GIPS OMG!!!!
Its 5% multiple guess memorization stuff…I’m guessing they ask generalities and it doesn’t seem that difficult relative to, say every other brutal aspect of L3…
Am I the only one that feels this way?

It is easier to read the actual GIPS standard 2010 first. The CFAI text is difficult to read because it contains too much commentary that it become unclear what are commentary and what are the actual standards required.
