That’s why you have to avoid HR and get to the hiring manager.  The interview will be more technical.  That’s where networking becomes important.

Behavioral questions are excuses to keep more HR staff employed.

The problem with HR is that many of them are not trained properly to understand a CV, especially the technical parts of it.  Many use buzzwords when they scan it.
I believe HR is useful to filter out the unqualified candidates, but not necessarily good at sending the most qualified ones on the hiring manager’s desk.
