FAS 151: Inventory，存货价值为历史成本historical cost和市场价值market value中较低的部分，市场价值一般被认为是重置成本。

存货一般包括商品和原材料，商品可以直接用当前市场价格计量，而原材料由于要包括生产过程，不可能以原材料价格确定减值，而要考虑转换成商品后是否发生减值，所以要考虑一个合理的利润率以计算最终商品的价值。

可以参考中国会计准则2号：存货。
