Based on 40/60/80 rule,I think this year's result is going to be more once again complex to many passers and failers.
I have seen a lot of band 9 or 10 failers whose results don't appear even worse than those who passed.
While lots of people couldn't even finish their AM session easily due to timing,PM became pivotal in achieving a "pass". 2008,2009 my peer folks told me the similar thing that it is the PM that determines whether you are lucky or not.
Believe it or not, I adopt the strategy that focuses on my PM session and read everything as carefully as possible. For AM session, the difference wouldn't be huge.
The strategy finally worked!!
My advice would be:
1. Never believe 40/60/80
2. 100% rely on CFA Curriculum instead any other type of notes, even Schweser one
3. Do all the EOC questions and make sure you understand everything you read in the curriculum
I started my level III review in April and actually I started on a company trip for best employee award to Arizona. I didn't even do any practice exams or sample exams.I know people will say, hey, come up with something that is applicable to the majority. But this is what I did.
If you fail this time, cheer up.I think it has something to do with the strategy.Passing the exam is only and always as is,matter of time. |
