I used the QBank as well, and while it is useful for practice questions it definitely does not reflect questions that you would see on the exam. I suggest you spend a lot of time on the CFA EOC questions (even the open-ended ones) and not worry about solving each and every question on the Qbank.

The Elan mocks were great because they had conceptual questions that tested your understanding of multiple LOS. Elan is planning to release their practice questions in August. I would definitely get my hands on those.

Qbank Questions....

I just started doing the Qbank questions today, and I'm starting to get a bit worried. For the exam you have to complete 240 questions in 300 minutes, if you do the math, that's 1.5 min per question. Some of the Qbank questions, such as variance of 2 assets portfolio, took me well beyond 2-3 minutes. Some are taking me so long just to read the questions. I hope this has to do with the lack of depth in my understanding of the material.

I am sure you will also encounter questions on the exam that take you 10 seconds to complete. It is an average. Also, practising alot will increase your speed considerably.

Speed is the last thing you should worry about. The paper wont take you more than 2:30 hrs. You'll still have a 30 min buffer
