Any Tri-taker here? reference, through, second, start

I had took level 2 for 2 times

for the first time i go through CFAI text only, for the second time i go through mainly schweser with some reference to CFAI, band 6 and band 8 respectively

what if my strategy if i go through the CFAI text only this time? (i havent start yet ><) i m wondering the schweser practice exam really useless

if i would like to order notes to for guiding me, how about stalla?

how's u guys preparation ?

Hey hftsang,

Im not a tri-taker but a re-taker, but what I can say is that I didnt give myself enough time (3mths) to study and so rushed through some important topics. Some ppl prob studied less than but still passed...jerks lol. This time 'round giving myself ample time and using CFAI texts, Schweser practice questions & exams, Stalla practice exams.

What did you find messed you up your second time around?

I passed on 2nd try. I would stick with pure CFAI books. First time I used schweser, it's risky, because the topics heavily emphasized were not on the exam.

There are no shortcuts to L2, it's a big dragon. You have to know everything, or risk being slaughtered.

I remember my 1st attempt, some accounting formula (had 5 variables), was asked 5 different times in the 120 questions (AM and PM). That's 4% of the exam!

I thought Schweser was fine. Though some of it probably depends on luck and your pre existing knowledge.

I did schweser very thoroughly i must say bt still flunked ( dint even open CFAI texts), this time around, am not gonna touch schweser, I think CFAI texts are the ones I need to study
