Schweser/CFAI problem time consuming?

Currently working on Quant. Doing CFAI / Schweser problems (+ comprehensive problems). I have read the entire quant section but need to tackle problems for the last four sections. It is consuming too much time?

Do you have any suggestions? What did you do for the Quant section?

Please advice. Thanks!

I recommend sitting for the June 2010 exam....get the CFA texts as soon as they are available. Allow approximately 30 weeks to go through all of the material...then 4 to 6 weeks for a relaxing review.

SS 1 One to two weeks
SS 2 Two weeks
SS 3 Two weeks
SS 4 One week
SS 5 One week
SS 6 One week
SS 7 Two weeks
SS 8 Two weeks
SS 9 Two weeks
SS 10 Two weeks
SS 11 Two weeks
SS 12 Two weeks
SS 13 One week
SS 14 One week
SS 15 Two weeks
SS 16 Two weeks
SS 17 Two weeks
SS 18 One week

It's not in the text books....but on the CFAI website they recommend taking 6 months to study for each exam....in the end you want as much time for a solid review of the material. You don't want to be caught coming up short on study time and no time left for a 4 to 6 week review. Don't get caught up thinking you have to finish the material in 18 weeks.

Warren,

I hope you're not a CFA candidate....If anyone needs more than 6 months, they must be kidding.
