CFA UK sponsors..anyone? expected, advice, member, taking

Trying to find a sponsor with CFA UK society, but it is taking much longer than I expected. Anyone has any advice on where to get a member of local society to sponsor you if you don't know anyone personally? Any advice will be appreciated.
