I have a assignment due for my MBA program and I need help as my accounting skills are subpar. I have a general idea of where I see problems and solutions but was hoping some of you with more experience might be able to weigh in. This is the assignment:

Prepare a short executive report (bullet point, 1-2 pages is fine) for senior management on your key findings / recommendations after analysis of the attached business report (P&L and BS). The business unit chosen is in the construction industry. We have intentionally selected a poor performing business so the critical issues are highlighted. In addition, the data has been masked to ensure confidentiality. You are free to make relevant assumptions to help you complete the brief report. It is recognized the timeframe is short on this and it will be taken into account.
