What's the deal with airline peanuts? And GIPS? required, standards, guess, airline, notice

I’m using both Schweser and the required readings for GIPS. In the required readings I notice they go with a “hide and seek” format by burying the GIPS standards in long paragraphs in nonsequential order. I guess just listing them would be too easy.
However I saw that some of the standards such as 1.B.3 aren’t even listed in the required readings but are in Schweser. Wuz up wit dat?

GIPS is pretty painful. memorize and then learn the few calcs on return. airline peanuts- yum. i eat them. heck, i even hope the person next to me is allergic so i can eat theirs too.

GIPS is short enough that I am only sticking with CFAI 100% on it. Schweser is too inconsistent in many areas I am beginning to notice.
