Examples in the CFAI Material part, important, remember, concepts

I was just wondering about the importance of the examples in the CFAI material. Is it important to remember the implications of these examples since they are part of the material? I will like to think that these examples are used to explain the concepts but I will like to know the opinion of fellow exam takers.
