Schweser Exams - Volume 1, Exam 3, PM
Hi, I have a few questions on this exam:
1) For Q.15.1, in calculating the no. of futures, I pretty much understood the calculations, except for when they calculate the DDctd, they something like this -
DDctd = 9.48 * 0.008 * 139.72
How do they get 9.48 and 139.72?
2) For Q.15.6, could someone pls. explain what is goin on in this question? I’ll have been breaking my head to figure this out. It’s regarding breakeven analysis. Sorry that I am not able to post the exact question, because I am pretty much confused about this. So, if anyone could spend a little bit of time on this, I’ll highly appreciate it.
3) Problem 16. I figured out how to do problem no.4, but in problem no.5, I get confused. In schweser, they tell us that in order to calculate the total return, we need to use the unhedged and the hedged portion using forwards. But in this problem they calculate the portfolio return using just the hedged portion. Why is this? I believe answer 6 also somethng along this line (calculating the return just using the hedged portion and not the unhedged.
Thanks so much. |
