A lot of people struggle with time series (or just statistics in general).
I have a few suggestions:
1) Watch a video lecture and get an OVERALL picture of what the study session is all about! Statistics build one concept on top of another, if you don’t understand the “raod map” and understand what they are trying to test, you will not be able to understand it
2) Draw a diagram (or several) for yourself. For L2, you need a tree to systematically test the validity of a regression. once you have a diagram in front of you, you can apply it in every question.
3) Practice, practice, practice - try to spot the question pattern, what information do they present and try to memorize what kind of questions they ask from the information they’re given. Say if they present you with ANOVA table, they are likely to ask you to calculate the missing figures (SSE, MSE, which is easy), or they may ask you to interpret F statistic, etc. The point is that, you need to recognize what they are trying to set up in the questions so you know what to expect and what to look for. If you memorize 2-3 patterns, you should be okay! |
