It depends on what courses you are teaching and at which school?
It states clearly that
Professor/Instructor (investment, finance, and economics, or non-financial business administration) is regarded as the qualified work experience. (see the following webpage: https://www.cfainstitute.org/cfaprogram/workexperience.html).
