I was fortunate enough to get my hands on both the Stalla and Schweser materials for L1. While both have their plus points, I am not sure how I can effectively use both to study. I have seem some comments that Stalla's passmaster is better than Schweser's Qbank. So is it worth doing both sets of questions? Also, the notes seem to be about the same for 2010...in some topics Stalla seems better, other Schweser has the edge but both refer to the CFAI books. Anyone else using both sets of materials? pick one and start studying!
i use schweser and find the material excellent, supplementing the Qbank to find areas of weakness, read the CFAI material in areas that I need more information in, and use the CFAI chapter review questions to do problems.
in 2 months I have been able to get through about 70% of the material required for L1 at a comfortable 10-15 hour a week pace.
