Couldn't help re-posting this year round Enjoy!

Girlfriends from CFA Institute...

(Level 1)

Ethics – she just talks too much and bore you to tears. But it is important to understand her rules and regulations.

Quantitative, Fixed Income - In the beginning you find them complicated, incomprehensible, irritating, frustrating and weird. but once you spend quite amount of time with them and get to know them, you will start to feel comfortable with them.

Financial Reporting Analysis (FRA) - In the beginning, she'd look so serene and easygoing but then you start realising her complications. She wants different treatment when she is travelling international than when she is in US. You just don't know what to do with her. She doesn't stop talking either and you just have to listen.
Warning: There is no escape once you get involved with her.

Corporate Finance - a little sister of FRA. She can be complicated too at times but you just wish if only FRA was as quiet and reserved as her.

Portfolio Mgmt, Derivatives, Alternative lnvestments - they all appear to be so sweet and easygoing but then they throw their tricky and lengthy questions at you to test you and you are left wondering do you even know them.

Economics, Equities - they are cousins, of which Eco is the elder cousin. When you are dating one of them, you forget about the other. But when you want to go top-down, you have to go through Eco first anyways

lol....Derivatives is the bastard child of Econ? Why? Its not an economic phenomenon!! Its synthetically modified (Oh and don't forget what a synthetic operating lease is for the exam). Its a zero-sum gain! Where as in Econ, everything comes in pairs: Supply/Demand, Prices/Quantities, Elastic & Inelastic. Cost Push/Demand Pull"...and so forth!

Ok i need to stop procrastinating and start studying...
