this stuff is brutal. i cannot force myself to study/retain this info and every day i feel like i'm falling further and further behind. maybe i'll buy a lottery ticket tonight.

Just finished reading GIPS tonight. What a mindf*ck...

That said, overall the curriculum is better than I expected it to be. Just a few sections that are god awful.

I struggled through bits of fixed income and attribution analysis. What's killing me is all the quant related stuff and formula memorization, but there's plenty of time to run through that. I think the main focus in IPS formulation is to be as objective as possible and not let your prior experiences affect the allocation.

Been flipping through the stuff and it seems like there's a lot of information to remember/memorise when compared to level 1 and 2. But when i do the questions, it appears to be looking out more on applications rather the memory work, so not sure how much value there is in memorising the info (other than formulas of course). Any comments?
