A goal of an “innocent until proven guilty” justice system is to place a higher priority on avoiding type I error? Could someone explain with an example how does this happen?

A Type I error in the legal system is convicting an innocent person. The legal system says that you can only convict a person if he is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. That sets the standard on conviction and lets the probability of not convicting a guilty person be unspecified.
