If you'll regret it get it done otherwise forget it and move on.

Do not go for the regrade. I was in same position last year. Band 10 and my breakdowns were better than most. They will not "regrade" your exam. They just retabulate, which means they make sure that the points the graders gave you for your essay questions were added correctly.

it's not a regrade. they only readd up the scores to check for adding errors. i was band 10 last year and did a retab. score did not change but it gave me piece of mind. if $100 is worth the mental aspect to you then do it.作者: liangfeng 时间: 2011-7-13 16:40
I cannot believe people still ask this question, especially on L3. Accept the fact that you were not prepared for the questions asked. I know that is tough but it is the truth. Good luck next year.

I failed it and I was a band 10. Believe me on any ratio you look at these results, I was VERY close to passing and the matrix alone was better than some who passed.
I went for a retab and it did nothing - just gave CFAI another 100 for free. I did it for closure because I didn't want to go through another year for 100 dollars however after going through the process last year, its not worth it and a retab does not make a difference 99.95% of the time.作者: Valores 时间: 2011-7-13 16:41

The cfainstitute is not a money-making enterprise. Oh no. Every penny it receives is ploughed back into supporting cfa-qualified unemployable people make repeated changes to the curriculum, and calculating the incremental failure rate to candidate ratio - which is not easy let me tell you.

i really can't imagine why anyone would retab a level I or II as the cards are just fed thru an electronic grader. only time i see any value (although that value is extremely small) is for level III to readd the morning session scores.作者: Darien 时间: 2011-7-13 16:41

They do the math - but do NOT review the grading methods or decisions.
