So after a week of relaxing and catching up with friends, I am feeling seriously bored now!

I do have a few books lined up for reading but I really don't feel like looking at any books as of now. And im still too fatigued to get sporty.

Suggestions to pass time?

do you have any friends?

(p.s. if, like me, you don't you might just have to keep on studying)

It usually happens, I also find my self often in a similar situation, so what do i do? i turn on some music while working, crack some jokes with some of my colleagues, Take a bit longer tea and lunch break and eagerly wait 5PM for freedom! people sometimes think i am crazy, but thats the way i keep myself alive in all this data, data, data and data stuff

Well, I did say 'catching up with friends'. But I am pretty much done with it.At the most I can see my friends is once a week. What do I do rest of the week?

Same here!!!!! I wanted to change or simply quit my job. But too much free time is not an appealing idea especially when post-cfa I don't have much to do.

If I had time, I would learn some financial programming with languages like Excel or Java-based languages that are used in simulation, modeling, analysis, etc. These are good to know and will help you at personal and professional levels. My $0.02.

You might want to join some crazy event, like I saw today in Madrid, a group riding bicycles completely naked. I am sure that's a lot of adrenalin, although that's definitely not my type of entertainment

My job is highly measureable and think I'd better work hard no matter what.

Can you please share the name of the novel if you are liking it?

Things I did to relieve my boredom:

1) Get a demanding job
2) Do a part time MBA
3) Get married
4) Write the CFA
At the same time

Follow the above steps and the heart attack you will get will be GUARANTEED to take away your boredom!

Same problem here. But start gaining back momentum. Any suggestion on how to retain the passion?

Nice list...add toast masters, which is a free local group for improving one's public speaking skills.

Summer hobbies by free time consumption

45% warcraft 3 (not world of warcraft cuz i hear it's like crack)
30% weight lifting
20% skateboarding (only on weekends)
5% soccer (maybe once every 2 weeks)

I also have a girlfriend, but I consider that part of relationship obligation (even though I enjoy my time with her obviously). I also joined a company soccer team and will do that once

Get fit and you'll feel better. You will need to eat and sleep more if you get active, so that will also use more of your time.

Agree with guy above. GET IN SHAPE. Make it so you can run 5-6 miles no problem (or run a half-marathon) and bench press your own weight. That takes energy & effort to get to that point, unless you are already a stud.

If not, you probably won't get there before the exam results come out, at which point you'll have an answer on what level to do next.

"And im still too fatigued to get sporty."
C'mon dude. Man up. The test ended a week ago.
