Think outside of the traditional job search sources. I found my job by pulling a list of the 100 largest asset management groups (including banks, most of which have some type of WM division) in my state and went to each of their individual websites to see what was available. Amazing how many jobs I found posted on their sites. Many of the regional banks don't use Internet job sites but instead rely on referrals and internal transfers, so you wouldn't find the positions unless you went to them directly. Worked for me in February 2009...

go straight to the source. hit fortune lists, wikipedia lists, etc and go straight to the company websites. create a profile and fill out apps. tedious, but its the best way and there is no recruiter or middleman to deal with

try CFA site...

CFA site is great. Got my current portfolio management position through it. Got my last via LinkedIn. The Ladders used to be good but it has become very diluted.
