Just passed Level 3. Late in second year of first post college job. Currently, my experience will not count towards CFA requirements. How soon can I leave? I want to avoid the appearance that I couldn't hack it in my first real job.

you can leave anytime. if you've done 1-2 years, totally understandable to leave a 1st job and hone in on what you'd like to now do for your career. in this tough job market, certainly i'd be looking to land the new job while still employed at the old one. but you've put in your time- 100% you can switch jobs and explain it well in an interview that it was a great learning experience and now in combo w/ your CFA levels passed would like to switch gears and work towards getting your charter.

you're fine, young people now job hop alot, its almost expected. But having done 2 years, thats plenty of time to be there without being labeled a "job hopper" not like you only did 6 months
