Hi all,

I am a bit confused as to whether to read the CFAI materials or to use schweser for Level 1. I find the CFAI books very very interesting to read and understand. As for Schweser, It greatly summarizes the readings but I doubt that it misses some important points.

Can you please advice as to whether Schweser is really enough for level 1. Or should I use Schweser notes and EOCs from CFAI books?

I am really confused as CFAI itself mentioned that prep providers should not be used as substitutes to the CFAI books.

Thanks

Depends on your background and goals.

If you've covered most of the stuff before and just want to pass, then maybe substitutes. If a good portion of the curriculum is new to you and/or you want to have a solid understanding, then complements at best.

Complement, you can pass just using the Schweser notes but the CFAI gives you a way better understanding of the material + less stress
