I am not currently a charterholder (waiting for exam results) but I do have membership.

How do I reference this?
"I am a regular member of the CFA Institute?

Yes, you can state that you are a regular member. For clarity, I would add that you are a L3 candidate / are awaiting your L3 results.

i wouldnt say "regular" member. that sounds dumb. i would just put member. you are over thinking this.

You can get a regular membership if you have more than four years of approved experience and have passed L1. That's what I have had for the past two years; I'm awaiting L3 results. Affilate membership is for <4 years.
