If you do business with a Mutual Fund as an investment advisor, and they help pay for things such as seminars or reasearch for the advisor’s company, is this considered soft dollars arrangement? Mcap - I agree 100%. I guess my question is: is a mutual fund company helping pay for a seminar techinically considered soft dollars? Im just a bit confused as to whether this would fall into the definition.
