well..the way I calculated it is
step1
PV lease obligations is $508766
step2
Under the offer you get: 200000 this year. and then for 4 years 80000 each.
Find the PV of annuity due of 80000 for 4 years and discount it back by 9% to bring it back to the present year. (which is the same as ordinary annuity of 80000 for 4 years)
Subtract 2 from 1 and you get savings of $49589. hope that helps |
