In most cases, is the calculated return objective (% or figures) required for answering other questions (risk tolerance and 5 constraints) ?

In 2007 AM you used the return objective from Q1 to answer why their asset allocation in Q2 was wrong (though there were other reasons too)

Then, I may answer to other questions (risk tolerance and 5 constraints) and leave the return objective to the last minute if there is still time left ! It is time-consuming and very easy to make mistake for me.
