IPS: do we use tax rate?

solution, about
Hi

There are many IPS questions, which mention about Tax rate (eg ' he in 20% tax range').

However the final solution does not use the tax rate at all.

Any rule on when to use Tax or not?

if it asks for an after tax returm, you use it. It depends on the question.
