Race in Washington DC challenge, anything, leading, support

If you need a little more anxiety on the exam day and then choose your centre as Washington DC. Every year there is a race in the city on 1st Saturday of June where approx. over 50K people participates. Majority of the roads leading upto the centre are blocked and its really challenge to reach to the examination centre. I am very much in support of the race but amazed with CFA institute for not doing anything about the location of the exam centre.
I am hoping this is my last year of facing this trauma.

i don't remember last year they had a race in DC. It was rather uneventful.

so what is the plan of attack? is it still feasible to drive and park at that little parking lot in front of the convention center?

Same thing in Kansas City. I almost had a breakdown last year when I was almost to the exam location...and realized I wasn't going to be able to get through.
