Following consensus with this year's exam -

1) Retakers feel this year's exam was harder.
2) Many people felt they couldn't complete the exam
3) Most of us had problem in tax rebalancing stuff of question 1 and Fixed Income part
4) Found PM exam easy with many tricky questions (we think we got the answer right but there is a chance that it is incorrect)
5) Many questions in PM had answers in which you can argue for 2 options
6) I feel this year passing score will be around higher 50s and low 60s range
7) Passing rate might stay same or even go down from 49 to somewhere around 47% (range would be 47-53)

Agree or Disagree?

can agree with most of those points. Although I did feel that this years AM was relatively straightforward compared to the last 3 years. I dont know if passing % will be low 60's.. Of course, i dont wanna go down that road where we all guess what the passing % most likely is, because at the end of the day, we are all just anchoring to nothing.

3) FI immunization was straightforward, i thought... yes on tax!
4) PM wasn't easy.... questions are tricky...
6) i think it will be 65% min
7) 50% plus minus 2%

Lets add another one:

8) this is the only exam i've ever studied hard for (including L 1 and L 2) and i have no assurance that i passed it.

pass rate will be trending down to level 2 status IMO. 40 something.

Lets face it, probably half of us here will pass it this year.

in 2009 - only 2 questions were there which were kinda tough - Implied Assets and WACC stuff (and my be Grinold calculation was tricky) but rest of the exam was doable and folks had ample time to complete it. This year, it was just too many questions with 3-4 points alloted to it.

first time taker, but i thought 2009 AM (in non-test environment of course) was far easier than 2010 AM. totally different stress level when you're taking a test as practice vs. real thing...

...Never studied harder for anything...If it requires me to study even more, not sure I have that in me...CPA exam a breeze compared to this

You are overconfident at 47-53. Better be 40-60.

I am hoping - 60% of us pass.
