Anyone ever use one of those scanner pens to capture important points in the various texts (CFAI, Schweser, Stalla, etc.) ? Do they work? Recommend any particular one? Should I shut up?

You mean OCR? They are usually hit-or-miss. If they work, they work pretty well. If they don’t, you have to read the whole passage you scanned in and make correction yourself.
