Signing up for LII anywhere, website, someone, failed, provide

Someone posted on here that if you sign up for LII and find out you failed LI, you can swap the books out for LI. I can't find that anywhere on the CFAI website. Can someone provide the link? Thanks in advance.

CFAI does not allolw you to sign up for L2 until you pass L1

just confirm with schweser, the only product is premium solution and up, Schweser will sent pdf for note 1 not the whole thing prior to the release date of the exam.

just called the CFAI, you can't sign up for LII until you pass LI, but you can buy the materials for LII on cfabookstore.com. However, they told me they discourage this because when you sign up for LII, you will get the materials (then you'll have two copies). For some, it might be worth the $300 to get started right now. I can't imagine only starting for LII at the beginning of February. That would leave only 4 months. I felt like I could have used more than the 5.5 months I had for LI, and from what I hear, LII is much tougher.

If you really want the L2 materials just buy them off ebay for $200 less. L2 is much harder.

I know, the time constraint worries me too. But there is no way I am going to start studying now for L2 and while there is still a risk of me falling flat on my face in January if i find out i failed L1

I suggest everyone at least start skimming through the LII material while they wait for their LI results. Just so you know what to expect in terms of difficulty.

I am sure everyone is aware of the fact that 2 is like a billion and a half times harder than 1 but it doesn't hurt to at least look at the material. Start a light preparation until Jan 27th otherwise even if you pass L1, you will have a tough time studying for L2 and then end up failing.

I'd rather study now so if I pass L1, I have a better chance at passing L2 as well on the first shot.

what are you using to study 2010 schweser notes?

curriculum isn't available to us til January
