AM Essay Questions - Right Answer, Wrong / No Formula without, question, example, easily

What happens if you get the right answer for an AM Essay question, but you use a formula that’s not in the answer key?
For example…the duration of a leveraged portfolio. Yes, there is a formula for that, but one can easily calculate it without the formula.

If you write down the steps you used to arrive at your final answer in a clear and concise manner, I don’t see why you shouldn’t get full credit.
Just because you didn’t use a formula? Come on.

In numerical type questions , if yr answer is right , it doesn’t matter if u don’t show working even … They just mentioned its prudent to show it coz if u make a silly error but yr thinkin was right , u’ll get full credit .. So yeah no concern for u
