very good question.but, the collaplse of wall street doesn't mean no demand for derivatives, cdos, or mbs, or whatever. the market still there, investors need those products. problem is regulation and more transparency. That being said, cfa till has its value and in the forseeable future, I don't see any other exams/certificates can threat cfa's recognition in the area.
