Proper Interview Follow-Up? technology, interview, different

This is for a financial reporting analyst position.

Looking for some quick advice for the best way to follow up to an interview I have tomorrow (Friday). I have heard many different takes on this. Some saying an email is most effective given today's technology; others advise on multiple follow-ups (email, phone and a stamped mailed letter). Also, given it is going into the weekend and I most likely won't be able to write an email tomorrow afternoon from my current job would it be better to wait until Monday or simply send tomorrow early evening? What do you all recommend?

I think an e-mail early in the evening should be ok. Phones can be awkward in my opinion. I always sent e-mails and it was fine.
