Research Objectivity Standards

Are they mandatory? Or is it optional for the firm to comply with these? TIA!

They do not. They would have to comply with legal regulations in this country of operation, but the ROS are voluntary. There is probably some regulatory overlap.

To claim compliance, you must adhere to the required ROS. The recommended ROS are 'recommended', ie not required.

I want to say if you are claiming compliance then you better comply with the required policies

Thanks Andrew. My question was more about firms not claiming compliance.
So here this goes for the last time (i hope it won't be ambiguous now):

Do the firms not claiming compliance with research objectivity standards also have to conform to required policies of research objectivity standards?

Thanks again.

not really sure- probably not

there are several "required" policies and other "recommended" ones.

Is it mandatory for every firm to comply with "required policies" or is it mandatory for only firms claiming compliance with Research Objectivity Standards to comply with "required policies"?
