Just wondering, I received the Schweser material from 2008 from one of my friends. I am considering taking the cfa level 1 this year, is the material outdated? I'v read that there are some adjustments, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There's no way you can use 2008 material. A lot has changed since then.

I have heard that the turnover of information in the texts is around 15% year-over-year

I am planning on doing them in 2011. The material is from 2008. I don't want to waste the time studying material that is likely to be irrelevant for the exam.

The curriculum is included in the June level I exam, with the $1200 you have to pay.
