Toughest Study Session

Guys I was wondering those who passed in this june test ... the study material you encountered which study session you found to be the most tricky/toughest...

I read a post recently that *SS9 FRA was a killer* though I skimmed trhough it didnt seem so difficult may be because I had a bit of accounting and things like deffered taxes etc.....

I know specially in finance exams some topics seem easy but examiner can test you with different angles and thus confuse you... So I shall really appreciate if you can provide some of the experiance you had so far

All this while I thought SS9 was the toughest until I wrote the exam. Ethics was a killer to me. I tend to "overthink" the questions. Spend too much time pondering the possible answers, resulted in doing areas I am good at faster. If ethics is your niche, I must congratulate you.

I would say SS9. However, the second SS in fixed-income is also quite 'fun'. Reading 62 from the other fixed-income SS is such a drag as well

I heard taxes and leases is a real pain, plus alt investments

The general consensus is going to be SS9. I scanned through it for the June exam and thought that it didn't look too bad. I ended up spending double the amount of time that I had originally allocated for SS9. Accounting is certainly not my passion, I more or less had to chain myself to my desk to get through it.

I dont remeber the SS number but...the second SS in Fixed Income securities was really tough for me

SS9 was a killer for me.. The end of chapter CFAI questions for SS9 reminded me how poorly I understood it. Figured it out in the end though, and it's all behind me now.

SS17 AND SS5. SS9 was fun actually

It was easily FSA DTL/DTA made my head go round and round

In terms of what is being tested, SS9 was the toughest. Confidence interval and hypothesis testing is easy when you write the exam because the more difficult things aren't asked.
