yep....in fact i know a lot of ppl who thought the exam was easy (bcos it was less numerical, apparently easier for them than last year etc), but then found out later that they'd been done in by several curveballs.....

hell i'd still say there are a lot of curveballs i hvnt figured out myself...and might prolly end up with a faaar lower score than what i'm hoping for...

And the 80% isn't representative of all of AF even....not everyone who flunks posts their scores, in fact i'd say very few of them would have the balls to....and likewise there might be ppl who arent active on AF otherwise but woke up just to put the pass score

I'm pretty sure you're find the same thing any year you look through. If you look through the Results thread you'll see about 80% pass rate on AF as well. Its been said many times before, don't trust the sample size that is AF.

The pass rate will be around 40% as it always is and the MPS will be around 64-67%.

Stop worrying about if you passed or failed and wait a month.

I guess you were browsing another forum!
Instead: Almost every one on this forum said that the exam was NOT easy

"Almost every one on this forum said that the exam was easy"??!! Speak for yourself pal!

I think that the MPS will be close to 70% and the pass percentage will be above 45% this year. (unless CFAI wants to screw us all and decides to raise the MPS).
Almost every one on this forum said that the exam was easy. Agreed that this forum may not be representative, but I think the forum members are not far above the average.

Best of luck to you all in your forthcoming exams.

Seriously? If they set it close to 70% then passing rate would be close to 35%. 45% would be the case if they set the MPS close to 61-63%.

But you don't know which 15-30% of the material will be tested. Sure, there is some score variance, but if you know 50% of the material and the 15-30% that is selected is random, then your expected score is still 50% (I guess plus 1/3 of the remaining questions, given that they are multiple choice).

A minimum passing score in the 50s would also be... pretty ridiculous. CFAI would basically be saying that you are worthy of continuing the program if you know half of the material.
