Is the Software copy necessary ? necessary, recommend, different, software

Is the software copy different from the printed curriculum? I bought it last year but didn't use it though . Do you recommend to buy it ?

I bought the printed 1 only as I don't think I can focus on study when using ipad, personally preference tho...

I bought physical books only.
heard from my friend who bought software copy and at the end never touched at all.

iPad is good for browsing general news, emails, but on iPad, it is not easy to highlight, draw lines, write some memos.. my preference.

I mostly used the software copy. It gave me an excuse to get an iPad (wife even brought it up before I did!).

Depends on your situation. I travel a lot and didn't want to carry the books with me so I found the software version very useful. In addition, you can search for specific terms which I found invaluable.
