I would have just pursued CFA desgination without doing any master's level study,i.e. MBA or MFE,etc.
CFA program is designed in a way that is sufficient for candidate to get into investment market.The good thing about that is it alleviates the difference in understanding or communication in finance globally - everyone is talking in the same language now. Transparency has been improved. The challenge,however, is we are all stuck in the program for at least 2.5 years.The challenge is even more material for work professionals who need to balance their life and work.
BTW,this thread initiator seems to choose suffering and I just want to remind everyone here,which is,you do not have to suffer
