Theres a chance your calculator could be formatted wrong. There is a reset button that you can push with a toothpick on the back or you can try replacing the battery.

A noob Calculator problem...

I'm sorry....but a calculator problem (literally)

I have the TI BA 2 plus calculator. As I'm going through my qaunt study guides (Stalla), it's not adding up to the figures on the book. The calculator is on standard mode and the questions are not asking for anything different (i.e. solve problem in BGN mode for an annuity due)....

Did you guys have the same problem? Am I doing anything wrong here?? I'm on edge already...the last thing I need is a technical difficulties...

Make sure you're in AOS rather than Chn mode, assuming that's what you're used to. The former prioritizes multiplication/division.

For example, type in 4 + 3 x 2:

AOS gives 10, via 4 + (3 x 2)

Chn gives 14
