ethics question - schweser mock vol 2 question 1

i dont seem to get this. why is it ok to accept the travel arrangement? schweser saids its ok since its in remote location. doesn't mean that he can't pay for this himself. don't get it. anybody have better explanation?

suppose if you are an analyst who covers a company x. you are invited to attend the conference which is hosted by company x and its in remote location. by accepting the travel arrangement, aren't you violating the standard?

I thought I saw very similar example except this was a company like I stated above. by accepting the travel arrange, you were subject to violation.

This is confusing.
