Margin Call Formula in CFAI Text???
Don't understand how CFAI is arriving at the answers for Margin Calls per example 20 on page 46 of volume 5 and end of reading problem #23 (CFA 2011 L1 text). I get the answer easily with the formula given by schweser.....1-Initial Margin/1-Maintenance Margin times initial price. I would like to understand the CFAI's approach....don't get the algebra?
