Studying Book Sequence

cover, school, because, planning, completely
How inter-connected are the 5 books? I am planning to start on Book 5 first because it is completely alien to me while my school will cover the rest slightly when it start next month.

For the most part, you can start where you want. You will want to go through Book 1 and cover quant first, though.

You'll be fine the material isn't sequence dependent. One way or another you have to know it all, it doesn't matter how you get to that point.

I am intending to leave Ethics for the last and as for Quants I still have some idea about it. So I think I should be fine given the advise.

I have done Ethics first very quickly. Quant i have done very thoroughly twice as i was not feeling confident. Economics and Fixed Income next. Just completed FSA. What a breather when you finish FSA and feel good about it. Learnt a lot through FSA. Now doing Corporate Finance. I plan on going back to Ethics before review.

Doing FSA or Fixed Income before Quant is not advisable. Quant comes quite handy in both.
