Leading Economic Indicators Adv vs. Disadv

like, advantages, effective, research, economic
One of the advantages is that its "verified by academic research", yet the disadvantages are "inconsistent" and "misleading"

If someone made a statement like "leading economic indicators have been effective at forecasting" would you agree or disagree?

based on real world experience i would agree, but the devil is always in the details and you need to have the right basket of LEIs
